17, 1942 in South Bend, IN to Alice M. Tilton who survives. Germek, 48, of Hebron, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2000 at Southlake Methodist Hospital. Survived by his wife of eight years, Catherine; three step-children, Aaron, Thomas and Amber West of Crown Point; six sisters: Patricia (Alfred) Boyd of Bowie, Maryland, Geraldine (Herbert) Moss of Charlottsville, VA, Catherine Blue of Catalina, AZ, Cristine (Edward) Gamier of Largo, FL, Cindy Germek of Spring Valley, CA, Laura (Gerald) Miller, Jr. of Crown Point; one brother, Geoffrey Germek of Catalina, AZ; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gregory was born in East Chicago and raised in Hessville. He graduated in 1969 from Bishop Noll, and later entered Calumet College where he graduated in the middle 70's with a BA degree in Economics and Management. He loved collecting records and movies. 'Jane A. Christensen, 93, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2000 at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso, IN. Bom Nov. 10, 1906 in Durango, CO, to the late James A.

and Helena (Warner) Smith. First marriage in Crown Point, IN, to Ira Lynus Barnes who preceded January 11, 1990. Second marriage in August 1947 in LaPorte, IN, to Kai Christensen who preceded July 22, 1970. Survived by daughter and son in-law, Patricia (Barnes) and Ben Stark of Valparaiso, IN; sister-in-law, Nellie Barnes of Gaithersburg, MD; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by two sons, one grandson, two sisters and two step-sisters.

Gladys L. Bomes, 86 of Valparaiso passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2000 at Valparaiso Rehab Center. She was born in Chicago, on July 3, 1914, a 24 year resident of Valparaiso, and a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Valparaiso. She is survived by one daughter, Judith (John) Uceny of Valparaiso, one son, William Bomes, Warsaw, IN, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Memorial service will be Saturday, July 15, 2000, 11:30 a.m.

at the Christ Lutheran Church, Valparaiso, with Rev. Jerry Castleman officiating. Cremation at Calvary Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Dykes Funeral Home, Valparaiso.

Dorothy M. Bowlby Westville Dorothy M. Bowlby, 81, of Westville, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2000. She was a lifetime area resident, retiring from Porter Memorial Hospital in 1978, where she worked as a Ward Clerk. Dorothy was also a member of the Portage Christian Women's Club.

She loved traveling, jazz music, her greatgrandchildren and her family. She is survived by one son, Charles (Sandra) Bowlby, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; two daughters, Susan (Patrick) Koritko of Westville and Kathleen (Francis) Donahue of Portage; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Smith and Sarah Wixon, husband, Charles Bowlby, Sr. and her brother, James Wixon.

Funeral services are Saturday, July 15, 2000, 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Portage, with Rev. Bill Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet. Park Cemetery.

Rev. Currie served two churches in Michigan, one church in Illinois, and one church in Indiana. He taught at G.R.S.B.M. in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He was an A.M.F.I.

Board member for 40 years, a A.M.F.I. General Director for 16 years and a International Missionary for A.M.F.I. for the last 10 years. He was a graduate of Houghton College in New York and Dallas Theological Seminary. He served in the U.S.

Chester Knee Tennessee Gary, IN Chester Knee, 75, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away Monday, July 10, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife, Ermina; sons, Chester, Robert, Michael, Scott and Mark; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, William. Mr. Knee was retired from Kaiser Refactories in Gary.
