She hopes to make a concert tour after she receives a degree in applied music and will, in all likelihood, teach later. Betty plays both electric and pipe organs and the Ervins have an electric instrument in their home. Of the two, Betty prefers the pipe organ, since -mastery of the technique of playing is a greater challenge. She explains that the delayed action and Infinite variety of stops on a pipe organ make it more difficult to play. Betty has played a $150,000 organ at a church Jn Ev-anston, 111.

ALTHOUGH she hopes to con-L centrate on the organ, Betty's musical talents are not confined to that Instrument She recently won a superior rating in a piano contest conducted by the Illinois High School Assn. As a result of her rating, she will be entered in he state contest at Bradley University April 28-29.
