WHITLOW CROWN POINT, IN Howard T. Whitlow, age 75 of Crown Point, passed away May 24, 2016.

He served for the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis and later spent three years in Germany. Howard was a crane operator for LTV Steel. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Howard will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Stella; two daughters: Lisa (Kevin) Brown and Kellie (Jeff) Cearing; six grandchildren: Rachel (Orion) Kirby, Eric Brown, Bryan Soto, Randy Cearing, Lauren Cearing, Chase Glidden; three great-grandchildren: Aiden, Molly, and Jace Kirby; sister, Peggy (Samuel) Guy. He is survived by his children: Robert A.Seto, Judith Ward and Susan (Bob) Rohweder; grandchildren: Meladi (Rick) Glotzbach, Erica (Jeremy) Branson, R.J. Seto and Rose Seto; great grandchildren: Maleri Ward, Paityn, Logynn and Kenlei Glotzbach. Also by his brother Richard Seto and niece Sherrie (Charlie) Stupic. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Seto, his wife of nearly 60 years Marianne (Nauch) Seto and grandson Richard Erdmann. Services will be private.

She was born to Dwight and Sharron (Minder) Murdock on January 9, 1972. Stacy attended Ridgeview Elementary and Hobart High School where she graduated in 1990. She went to IUN and received a degree in Medical Billing and Coding.

Stacy loved to create. Art, Jewelry, decorating, it all made her happy. She was always willing to make things special for everyone around her. Mothering her younger sibling came easy to her, but her two sons Mitchel and Dakota made her proud to be a mother. Stacy did not make friends, she made family.

The friendships she had were life long and forever. Everyone was her best friend. Her boyfriend Charles made her feel like a queen and her two sons were her princes. She was such a beautiful soul. Stacy survived by her two loving sons: Mitchel Campbell and Dakota Taylor; Father: Dwight W.

Murdock (Peggy Pearce); sisters: Melissa (Jeff) Nichols, Michelle (John) Clardy, and Kari Sue (Brandon) Siniard; many nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Sharron Kaye Murdock; siblings: Shannon D. and Kyle Warren Murdock, and Karlie Jean Ramos; grandparents and several extended relatives. Esperanza went into the arms of his heavenly father on May 26, 2016. Esperanza was the oldest of 13 children.

He lived in Hobart with his wife Maria. As a member of the U.S. Army, he served in Europe during World War II. He earned several medals and his story is featured in the Oral History Project which is at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. He came to East Chicago, Indiana in 1952 and retired from Inland Steel as an Ore Car Operator.

He also worked for many years as a Yellow Cab Driver and as part time barber. Following his retirement from Inland, he and Maria returned to Puerto Rico for 10 years and came back to live in Merrillville and then Hobart. His parents, nine siblings and his oldest son, Rafael Rivera, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Perez; daughters: Elsa (Carmelo) Melendez of Arlington, TX, Luz (John) Robatto of Lake Station, Milagros Harrell of Arlington, TX, Maria (Erick) Downing of Cartersville, Ga. He is also survived by sons: Anibal Rivera, of Merrillville, Jaime (Dawn) Rivera of Helotes, TX.

Jose (Kim) Rivera of Schererville. He is also survived by 21grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday June 1, 2016 from 4:00 to at the Calumet Park Funeral Chapel 7535 Taft St. Merrillville, IN; and from 10 AM until time of service Thursday Morning June 2, 2016 Funeral service for Esperanza will be at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM. Full Military Honors will be conducted at the cemetery.

Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to your favorite Veteran's Organization. JOHN "JACK" M. PHOTENHAUER John M. Photenhauer age 77, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; his sons: Erik (Holly) of Los Angeles, Troy Butler (Kim, Payton and Wes Lewis) Rensselaer; daughters: Kayle Gatz (Chuck), Dyer, Kelly Butler, Hammond; grandsons: Ryan Butler (Hannah Sheldon) and Levi Photenhauer; granddaughters: Zoe, Sasha and Roxy Photenhauer; sister, Marguerite Peterson; brother, Robert Kahl (Mary Louise); former daughter-in-law, Kim Butler; brother-in-law, Wayne Duncanson (Jane); sister-in-law Sandi Witcher and husband Jerry; numerous nieces and nephews in Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gertrude Photenhauer; brothers, Ken Kahl (Lucille), Jim (Diane), Joe and Donnie Photenhauer. The family would like to thank Unity Hospice of NW Indiana Hospice team (Vicky, Glenda, America, Anna and Janice) for the wonderful care that Jack received. A special thanks to his wonderful caregiver Pam Mendoza and other previous caregivers Gloria, Ken and Monic. Jack was born in Menominee, MI.

He graduated from Menominee H.S. in 1957. He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Neosho. He was the founder and past president of the Association of Gunner's Mates. He was retired from the Hammond National Insurance Company and formerly employed at Prudential Insurance Company.

Jack was a 5th Degree Black belt in Karate and taught at the Hammond YMCA and various regional karate schools. Jack was a former member of the Hammond Jaycees and a Hammond Optimist Member. He was also a former member of the Chicagoland Corvair Owners Association. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

She was born on June 8, 1931 in Gary, IN to the late John and Mary Poulos, both of the small village of Kalavrita, Greece. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother and friend to those who knew her.
